About UsMichigan State University’s Student Chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), more simply known as The Equine Club, offers a host of opportunities to promote the educational and professional advancement of its members in the field of equine medicine. Collaborations between students, faculty, staff, and practitioners lead to the development of intriguing meeting presentations, wetlabs, and activities including, but not limited to, AAEP Dental and Farrier wetlabs, emergency team, foal team, wet-labs to build technical skills, and holistic medicine opportunities. Students new to horses, and experienced horsemen can gain hands on experience through a variety of opportunties. The Equine Club is a cohesive group that aims to explore and share all aspects of the horse industry with people familiar and new to horses.

How to Join |
Equine Club members no longer have dues but are asked to become a student member of the AAEP. Student membership is $35 and can be accessed at www.aaep.org. AAEP student memberships are good for the year and a printed confirmation page should be kept to verify your place as part of the Equine Club. Those who wish to join Equine Club should obtain a membership form and attach their AAEP Student Membership confirmation page. Their form and AAEP confirmation page can then be placed in Vanessa Shade's mailbox located in the Student Center.
